I am a firm believer in the importance of taking time for reflection. So let’s reflect on our progress thus far…
After its start this fall The China Observer blog has come a long way. In just a matter of months, The China Observer blog was picked up by the Wall Street Journal China blog on three occasions (one, two, three). In just a matter of months, The China Observer blog was featured on the influential China Law Blog. In just a matter of months, as of this week, The China Observer blog was published on SeekingAlpha.com. What I am trying to express is that we have come a very long way in such a short period of time and I am thrilled about this beginning of what I hope will be a successful and meaningful journey.
Looking forward, the Chinalyst China Blog Awards 2008 competition is well underway. I decided to use this as an opportunity to promote The China Observer blog and emailed a great number of you about the blog and the competition. As a result our number of RSS subscribers has increased, I am receiving many emails with both praise and suggestions for improvement and the conversations are gradually starting to get longer on our posts.
So far we are in a close competition for first place. There are many great China business blogs out there and The China Observer blog has only been around for just a few months, but I hope that you will take a second to cast your vote and show your support.
Then click on the + below the current number of votes to cast your vote.
Thank you for your support and keep coming back for more of The China Observer blog.

Love the blog. Added my vote for your running in the best blog competition at Chinalyst. It seems like we think about the same things, read the same blogs and are connected to the same people. Great to know you, hopefully we’ll get a chance to chat in person some time.
Go for it Joel, you’ve got the best Business blog and I’m voting for you.
