One that just gets ignored for no good reasons is Yuanda, or Broad. While everyone else is crooning about the thin-film solar manufacturers in Shanghai, Broad has been cranking out world-leading, energy-saving non-electric air conditioning units for over a decade. Local, started with $3,000 in capital, and you can eat off the factory floor.
